How to keep your new
hardwood looking beautiful

Hardwood floors are beautiful, but time, traffic, stains and spill will inevitably take their toll and cause your floor to become faded, scratched or dull. To slow the aging process and maintain the new look of your floors, you’ll need a reliable maintenance routine. We’ve compiled some tips here from the All Floors Design Centre flooring specialists to help you get started.

Invest in Quality Cleaning Tools.

Buy a high-quality broom and sweep your new hardwood floor regularly to pick up grains of dirt, dust and other particles. Additionally, a vacuum cleaner without a beater bar can help clean in between planks and other hard-to-reach areas. Once dirt and grease are gone, buffing can help restore the luster of your hardwood floor.

More Surefire Cleaning Tips.

We recommend using a terrycloth mop with a rotating head that makes cleaning corners, under cabinets and along base boards an easy task. As long as it adheres to your manufacturer’s recommendations, you can use a professional hardwood floor cleaning product to safely remove tough stains and spills without dulling the finish of your floor. We recommend that you ask your All Floors Design Centre specialist about these cleaners as well.
